Sony Ericsson has a strong heritage when it comes to the imaging capabilities of its mobile handsets. I still look back to my K800iwith fondness and the company has carried this through to their Android handsets. The Xperia arc will be one of the best specced handsets when it comes to imaging, at least in the Android ecosystem.

However, if you’re wondering how it will fare against some other heavyweights out there including the Nokia N8, iPhone 4 and Galaxy S (not in the same class as the others but it’s included nonetheless) then we’ve included some comparison sample images below. Calling an overall winner on this one is extremely tricky, although there’s no denying the arc’s superiority in low light.
